A reminder that a Democratic candidate is holding an event in Perry today.

Democrat Joe Shelly is welcoming people to the Perry Perk Coffee Shop this afternoon for an opportunity to introduce themselves, ask questions, and talk about the future of Perry. According to Campaign Manager Christina Guerrero, the event begins at 2:30pm and is free for the public to attend. Shelly, who is on the Perry City Council, is running for Iowa House District 47 against Representative Carter Nordman in the November election, and was nominated to be the Democratic candidate through a district convention.
