The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Volleyball team was successful in their season opener on Thursday.
The Tigers played three games in Adel yesterday as they were able to win two of them. ADM began the night taking on Harlan Community where they won. In the second game, the Tigers fell to Des Moines Christian, before winning a matchup versus Woodward-Granger. Senior Calli Seehase tells Raccoon Valley Radio what she learned about facing adversity from her senior teammates from a year ago.
“I feel like just staying calm in those tough times. It might be frantic, you might be worried about the next play or if you win or if you lose, but just staying calm and staying together as a team, I feel like last year they did a good job of that. No matter the pressure, they stilled played to their level, and I feel like we are trying to learn how to do that as well and I feel like as time comes, we’ll learn that.”
ADM is 2-1 overall after their season opener as they will look to build on last night’s performance hosting Norwalk this coming Thursday for the ADM Invitational.
