The West Central Valley School Board met in regular session Wednesday night.

The Board began the meeting by hearing from two female student athletes and a parent during the public forum period on the need for improved facilities at the school’s athletic complex for female athletes to be able to prepare for games comfortably and safely. The Board then approved personnel suggestions, 2024-25 Professional Learning Community and mentors, 2024-25 extra duty contracts for summer coaches and open enrollment. They also approved the 2024-25 fee schedule, which was unchanged from last year except for a clarification on what age individuals would be considered seniors (63) for activities admission packages.

The Board also approved a quote from United Truck and Body for school bus repairs, tabled a decision on purchasing a truck for the district until they could see what a price for one would be with a snow plow package. They also tabled a decision on professional design and service agreements with SiteLogiQ, approved the second reading of the Board policy review and the 2024-25 handbook changes for the high school, middle school, elementary school and preschool.
