With the Iowa State Fair over, there are three individuals from Guthrie and Adair Counties that were recognized by the Iowa 4-H Foundation.
Adair County Iowa State University (ISU) Extension Youth Coordinator Caroline Savage says Adair County’s Hall of Fame inductee is Grace Evans, who is described as being synonymous with tireless dedication and unwavering commitment. Savage mentions that Evans has volunteered for nearly five decades, serving Adair County and its 4-H program
Guthrie County ISU Extension Youth Coordinator Rachel Blum says that Guthrie County’s 4-H Hall of Fame honorees are Jim and Karwyn Gibson. She shares why they were honored.
“I know Karwyn has been a leader and very active in the Wichita Wildcats. And Jim has been on the youth committee and very active with the Guthrie County Fair.”
All of the 2024 Hall of Fame class were recognized this past Sunday at the close of the Iowa State Fair.
