A very popular event in the City of Perry is coming up on Saturday, with a Dallas County organization set to be there.
Hispanic United will be hosting the Viva Perry Latino Festival on Saturday with a fun day of activities. Dallas County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will have a booth at the festival. Youth Outreach Educator Kathy Rottinghaus illustrates the services they will provide.
“We have some fun activities for the kiddos, and then we have a take home kit that they can have and it will be a really great time, come out and see us.”
The Latino Festival will include a parade at 10am along 12th Street and Willis Avenue by the Hamlin Bell Apartments ending in Pattee Park. Following the parade, there will be music, dances, food, vendors, and more available from 11am-7pm.
