Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center Principal Brian Sauser hasn’t started the school year yet, and already has been learning about the students.

Sauser says he’s attended a few summer workouts for the fall sports teams, and has been able to see the teams in action as they prepare to represent the school. He adds that he was also recently able to talk with some students that are part of the FFA Chapter.

“I talked to Gavin Sloss, it was his 18th birthday and he was celebrating by chasing his cows through the pasture who got out and that type of thing. And just when he started to explain to me, he’s in cross country, he’s a good wrestler, takes care of a cow/calf herd, and then he is involved in so many different things. I’m amazed at what these kids do in just a matter of a 24 hour day, and I’m not sure when some of these kids sleep.”

Sauser mentions that he’s impressed with everything he’s seen from the students so far, whether it be in athletics or other extracurricular activities, and that he’s excited to get the year started so that he can get to know even more of the students and see everything that they do.
