On Monday the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs fall golf team traveled to Ankeny to Briarwood Club of Ankeny for the Jesse Peck Invite. In 18 hole play, the Mustangs performed well, with sophomores Avery Van Zelderen and Gavin Drake placing 10th with a low score of 76 strokes. Senior Noah Moberg would place 19th with 78, followed by freshman Chase Perrin in 21st and sophomore Dylan Jarchow in 23rd. Rounding out the night for the Mustangs was sophomore Parker Ellingboe in 34th place with 88 strokes.

As a team, the Mustangs placed 5th tied with Indianola with 309 strokes. The Mustangs nearly tied with Norwalk for fourth, with a difference of 4 strokes being the deciding factor.
