The Stuart Public Library is continuing a program that they’ve been holding over the summer.
Director Lisa Sherman says that the program has been a fun one that many of the kids, and even some adults, have enjoyed. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that they are going to keep the activity for the foreseeable future.
“We are still doing the Friday ‘Drop Everything and Read’ (DEAR) at 3pm. You can bring your pillow, you can bring your stuffy, and come into the library for quiet time because we will shush people. So that’s at 3pm and lasts until 4pm, but we do that every Friday.”
Sherman mentions that individuals don’t have to just read, they can also do things like write or color, so long as they remain quiet.
