The Dallas County Conservation Board is still in the midst of summer programs with the next one on Wednesday.
The conservation board is encouraging people to join them for a Creek Walk at the Kuehn Conservation Area Wednesday morning. Participants will be following the trail towards the river and exploring an old creek bed in the forest.
The conservation board states that the creek is normally dry, but with the recent precipitation in Dallas County, there will be pockets of water to find minnows, frogs, and more. The event will occur from 9-10am on Wednesday and is being marked as the final creek walk of the summer. Contact the Dallas County Conservation Board at (515)-465-3577 for more information.
