A business in the City of Perry is welcoming the community for an open house on Tuesday.
The Perry Child Development Center, 920 18th Street, is inviting people to an open house from 6-8pm on Tuesday for free games, literacy kits, and a bounce house. Perry Child Development Center Director Kim Bonjour-Eiteman says the organization serves children from 2-10 years of age, but is starting a brand new program for one-year-olds. She describes that the center involves itself with nature learning.
“We do our own gardening and kids participate and they weed and get the vegetables, and then we have them for a snack, and then we do flowers, and they have a little fairy garden out there.”
Bonjour-Eiteman highlights that the center includes a grassy space to allow children to partake in physical activity. She notes that Kate’s Kookies will be selling delicious treats from 3-8pm. Prior to Tuesday’s open house, from 6-8pm, a ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 3pm with the Perry Chamber of Commerce. Both events are open to the public.
