An event lasting over four decades is kicking off tomorrow in Adel with lots of activities.

The 45th Annual Sweet Corn Festival is taking place around the Adel Courthouse Square as well as the Dallas County Fairgrounds. Tomorrow will start with the Sweet Corn Festival 5K Run/Walk at 7:30am, then the parade will begin at 9:30am on Greene and 18th Streets. The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls Basketball Team will have a dunk tank on the Courthouse Lawn from 9am-4pm. 

Other events include a bags tournament, a fun zone, and free sweet corn available at 11am. Raccoon Valley Radio’s Big Red Radio will be on the corner of 9th Street and Main Street from 8am-4pm tomorrow. The full list of events can be found on the Adel Sweet Corn Festival Facebook page.
