Perry High School is gearing up for another season of sports. Football, cross country, swimming, and volleyball will all have their first mandatory practices of the season tomorrow. All of the teams have had voluntary workouts until this point. Fall sports will begin competitions on August 29. That night swimming, cross country, and football will have their first events.
Swimming is coming off a 19th place finish at State. Football went 2-7. Cross Country had one athlete qualify for State. Volleyball ended the year 11-25. All the coaches seem hopeful with the new seasons upcoming.
Two on the Perry fall sport coaches will join us tomorrow on the Raccoon Valley Bank PM Sports Magazine on KDLS. First year football and volleyball coaches will join us. Josh Vannornam and Lynn Hulgan will join us at 6P tomorrow to talk about their programs.
