The Adel Public Library is holding a book sale that is coming up on Thursday, with early entries happening tomorrow.

According to Patron Services Manager Amy Puck, the annual book sale begins Thursday, but reveals there is an incentive for members of the Friends of the Adel Public Library.

“Those who are members can get in for free. Can have first pick of all of the stuff that we have available. Non-members can still get in but pay five dollars for the opportunity to have first pick at all of the great stuff.”

Puck mentions that the opening of the sale to the general public will follow on Thursday and run until this coming Monday during regular business hours. She is asking for volunteers to help manage the sale, highlighting the jobs that need to be done.

“For sorting books, putting books on the tables, just general setup. It’s a fun opportunity to get to know the books, get to know what the library staff and the friend’s members and just bring some good volunteer work to our library.”

More information about the book sale can be found on the Adel Public Library’s website  or calling (515)-993-3512.
