The leader of the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Softball Team has achieved a huge accolade.

Head Coach Lindsay Stanford has been named the Raccoon River Conference (RRC) Coach of the Year, following a memorable 2024 season. Stanford just wrapped up her fourth season as the Tigers’ coach, where ADM finished with an overall record of 31-10, second in the RRC (13-3) behind North Polk.

The Tigers defeated Winterset in the Regional Championship game to advance to their fourth consecutive state tournament. ADM beat Fort Dodge in the opening game before upsetting the number seeded Comets (North Polk) to advance to the Class 4A Championship game against Carlisle, where the Tigers fell 7-6 in an exciting matchup.

ADM Softball has posted a winning record each year Stanford’s been the head coach. She’s been employed with the ADM School District since 2008, graduating from North Scott High School, and played collegiate softball at the University of Northern Iowa becoming a four-time first team all conference player.

The Tigers will be bringing lots of talent back but lost five seniors from the 2024 state team with Cameran Smith, Kaylee Smith, Aleah Johnson, Olivia Wyant, and Aubrey Winter.
