The Perry Public Library is running a program that will go for a couple of weeks involving a delicious treat.

The library announces they are hosting a “I Scream for Ice Cream Scavenger Hunt” for children between the ages of five (5) and 14. Youth Services Librarian Laura Pieper reveals the famous treat is not edible.

“We are going to be hiding ice cream cones, not real ice cream cones, but paper ice cream cones around the library and they’re going to have letters and numbers on them. Younger kids can just find the ice cream cones. Older kids can look at the numbers and the letters and try to solve a little mystery.”

Pieper highlights that the program is free with no registration required. The event is taking place at the library now until August 16th. For more information, contact the Perry Public Library at (515)-465-3569.
