A family from the Dallas Center area joins six others as recipients of a special award.

The Iowa State Fair has selected Brewer Farms out of Dallas Center as a representative for the 2024 Way We Live Award. According to the State Fair Association, this is the 16th year the award has been given out, recognizing 89 Iowa families. Brewer Farms has been in operation since 1875, serving Dallas Center with 125 cow/calf pairs. The fair association claims that family members are involved with the Dallas County Fair on some level each year.

The fair association gives each award-winning family a prize package of $250, complimentary admission tickets, free parking, various coupons, a highlight video, a photo display, and more. Brewer Farms will accept their accolade on Sunday, August 11th at 11:45am on the Anne and Bill Riley Stage during the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines.
