Tori Ogden is starting her fourth year as head girls’ basketball program for the Greene County Rams. She’s been involved in trying to build the program for youngsters starting in Kindergarten, so that they are familiar with the game and its rules before reaching middle school, which was somewhat of an obstacle when she started here.

As to why that age, the coach told Raccoon Valley Radio, “It’s probably because they’re at least to the age where they can understand things. They do go to Kindergarten so they’re given instructions, simple instructions. I think it does help that they’re in a school age so they know what a teacher is and a coach kind of fills that position. And, I think it’s important to get them excited about something new as early as you can.”

The Rams have had Summer basketball camps for lower elementary, upper elementary, middle school, and high school age girls.
