A fun summer series in Dallas County will be wrapping up on Saturday.

The third and final Meet Me in Minburn concert is set to take place Saturday night at Meek Park in Minburn. Minburn Community Betterment Group Member Megan Cline mentions that Panora native Brick Imerman is performing, and shares about his unique style.

“He has a fun character about him and he’s really talented. One thing that always amazes me about Brick is he’s a one-man show. He’s pre-recorded his accompaniment but then he plays along to it. It sounds like a whole entire band is up there on stage, but it’s Brick and then Brick’s pre-recorded work.”

The event will begin with a free will donation meal by the Minburn Fire Department from 5:30-7pm, then the concert from 7-9pm. Cline invites guests to bring a set of wheels for the outdoor skating rink, but has several available at the park.

“We have skate sizes for everybody, down to the little tiny ones who have to put the skates over their shoes to adult sizes. We have inline skates and we have the old four-wheel skates, but it’s free rentals. Come, bring a pair of socks. We’re kind of open to all kinds of wheels out there and sometimes people just stand out there and dance, and have a good time.”

Cline encourages other local artists to contact her if interested in playing at future shows, by emailing Minburncbg@gmail.com. Meek park is located five miles north of Highway 44 on Highway 169 between Perry and Adel.
