Caden Duncan enters year six as the head of strength and conditioning, as well as leading the football program for the Greene County Rams. Summer workouts concluded last week and this is Family Week, meaning school facilities are closed and there is no athletic contact allowed between coaches and athletes.
Coach Duncan told Raccoon Valley Radio he was pleased with the number of athletes, male and female, that took part in strength and conditioning in June and July. Although not every potential athlete may not have been at every workout, a good percentage of student-athletes took advantage of Summer opportunities to work out.
In addition, the rules allow for football workouts after the first of June, and Coach Duncan scaled the number of those back this year to one a week. Middle school and high school football camps for Greene County students will be held next week.
Official first practices for all Fall sports in Iowa high schools are able to begin on Monday, August 12.
