The Jefferson Swim Team captured the Iowa West Swim Conference meet on July 12 in the Jefferson pool. Jefferson also won the dual meet title at 9-0. The Jefferson swimmers, under the direction of head coach Jeff Schroeder, finished 28 points ahead of annual power Carroll with Guthrie Center third, and Denison fourth in the 10-team event. This is the first time in many years Jefferson has won both the dual meet and conference meet titles.

The conference meet concludes the swim team season, which operates under the direction of the Jefferson Park & Recreation Department.
