A celebration for the children’s summer reading program at the Perry Public Library is happening next week.
The library is mirroring the 2024 Olympics theme by hosting summer games for the finale this coming Thursday. Youth Services Librarian Laura Pieper is withholding information pertaining to the name of the games that will be in appearance, but reveals that children will enjoy them. Pieper comments on the cool prizes that are in the running for children to win.
“We have the doll and we have the stem set with the robot and the legos, and we also have the kindle fire for the kids. As well as that, we also have a prize for the young kids, three and under.”
The event will be held inside the Perry Library’s Community Room on Thursday from 2-4pm. Pieper adds that the program is free for participants to join with no registration required. Any questions can be directed to the Perry Public Library at (515)-465-3569 or click here.
