The Stuart People Active for Library Service (PALS) are holding their second annual bar crawl this weekend.

PALS Member Kathy Johnson mentions that this is a different kind of event than what many may think of when they hear the phrase “bar crawl.” She tells Raccoon Valley Radio what their version of the event is.

“This bar crawl is about baked goods in a 9×13 (inch) pan, and just coming out and having fun together. So there’ll be plenty of yummy treats and fun for all, a great family event.”

Johnson says that the competition begins at 10am Saturday at the Stuart Public Library. Bakers do not need to cut their bars, just bring in their pans and set up. The PALS will cut the bars into a small uniform size, and the community will be able to come in to taste test the bars that are there.
