dcg-new-2

Dallas Center – Grimes softball was able to make it back to the state tournament after a year hiatus on Tuesday night when they took on the Perry Jayettes, winning the game 10-0. The Mustangs now will be moving on to the state tournament, where they will have to win three games to bring home the state championship trophy.

The road to that championship will not be an easy one for the Mustangs, as they will have to take on a traditional power in Carlisle in the quarterfinals. DCG is 32-8 on the year while Carlisle is 34-8 on the year. The two teams faced off earlier this year in Dallas Center and Carlisle was able to take the victory 3-2. On paper, this could be a very even matchup and will not be an easy one for the Mustangs in the first round.

You can listen to both Dallas Center – Grimes state softball and baseball on the new 943, 997, and AM 1310 KDLS, streaming online at raccoonvalleyradio.com, and the KDLS app.
