A Jefferson business recently expanded its presence in the community.

Slininger-Schroeder Funeral Home Owner Aaron Schroeder tells Raccoon Valley Radio acquired Hastings Funeral Home in Jefferson. He says that he purchased Hastings phone number, as well as their pre-funded funeral contracts, which he is planning to honor. However, Schroeder explains that they are only acquiring the Hastings business, but will continue to operate at their current location, at 119 East Lincoln Way. 

Schroeder says much of the history of their business is in their facility that they have been serving for 105 years and families and individuals have comfort and are familiar with their facility that they decided to not purchase the building that Hastings Funeral Home used on Elm Street. He appreciates the vital role that Chuck and Dina Hastings gave to the community at their establishment and the people they served.

Schroeder wants the families in Jefferson and Greene County to know that they will continue to receive excellent service, compassion and care from his staff and that they will hopefully have the opportunity to extend that compassion to care for more families in their time of need.
