Stuart City Council convenes tonight in regular session.

The Council will get updates from both the Stuart Fire Department and the Stuart Rescue Unit to begin tonight’s meeting.

Next, City of Stuart street commissioner Jim Henderson will address the Council to discuss purchasing an electric pump for the sewage department.

The Council will then get an update from Veenstra & Kimm engineer Forrest Aldrich regarding Stuart’s downtown facade improvement project.

The Stuart Police Department will also make a presentation at tonight’s meeting to discuss the resignation of Officer Will Wedemeyer.

Finally, near the end of the meeting, the Council will consider the resignation of one of its own members, as Councilman Wade Chafa looks to step down.

Tonight’s Stuart City Council meeting begins at 6:30pm in City Hall.
