The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday.

Dallas County Engineer Al Miller provided some updates for the Secondary Roads Department. He said that the department has worked on 50 miles of gradual road systems and that 23 culverts have now been completed. Miller mentioned that the River Oaks Rehabilitation project requiring pavement work in the City of Adel will start on Monday and is scheduled for completion by Thanksgiving. 

Other items on the agenda that were approved during the meeting include setting a time and date for a public hearing pertaining to a Raccoon River Valley Trail set for July 30th at 9:30am. Also, a resolution for an operating transfer to move local options sales tax dollars from the general basic funds to capital funds in the amount of $1,039,224.09 was approved by the board.

In addition, Finance Director Rob Tietz commented that progress is going well with the new administration building in Adel and that employees in the current supervisors building will start moving into the new building sometime in September.
