Greene County Medical Center is announcing the return of a component that was put on hold during the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to the medical center, the Patient and Family Advisory Council is starting up again and Chief Nursing Officer Amanda Lass says this group is composed of community members in the service area of the medical center, along with team members of different departments from the medical center. She states that the goal of this council is to build trust and mutual respect through the relationship of the medical center, along with patients, families and the community.

Lass notes that the Patient and Family Advisory Council has served an important role in providing input and feedback from patients, family and community members, as well as those individuals who work in the healthcare environment. She is excited to enhance the patient-centered care and the patient and family experience when they are at the medical center.
