The Jeff Pease Memorial Foundation is searching for more sponsors for their third annual Jeff Pease Golf Classic.

Foundation Board Member Tom Stiles says that the tournament is named after late West Central Valley Teacher and Coach Jeff Pease, whose passions in life were education and coaching. He explains that the Classic has already filled up with the 24 teams for the four person best ball tournament, but they are still in need of sponsors. Stiles tells Raccoon Valley Radio that they are immensely appreciative of all the entities that help them out by sponsoring the Golf Classic.

“The sponsors are the heart and soul of this thing, and they’re really what makes it go. So the golfing is kind of the cherry on top, but we love to highlight those sponsors, and especially those people who support not only us, but the community, and then ultimately the seniors of West Central Valley, which is where all of our proceeds go for scholarships in Jeff’s name.”

Stiles shares how many seniors they have been able to help.

“We award those every year in the spring, and after this year we, to date, have awarded $67,000 to 72 seniors. So that’s something we’re really proud of, and just this past year we did 21 $1,000 scholarships.”

Stiles mentions that for those interested in becoming sponsors, they can visit the foundation’s website, www.jeffpeasememorialgolfclassic.com and click on the sponsors tab. He adds that more information on the three sponsorship levels available for them to sign up can be found on the website as well. The Jeff Pease Memorial Golf Classic will take place on August 31st at the 5×80 Golf and Country Club south of Menlo.
