The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Baseball team will on the road today to take on a Raccoon River Conference opponent in the Class 3A Substate 2 Second Round game.

The Tigers were originally supposed to travel to Alleman last night to square off against the North Polk Comets, but weather disrupted that. The game will now be played this afternoon at 3pm with a trip to the regional championship on the line. ADM beat Ballard 6-2 on Friday and it was a 15-0 North Polk shutout versus Greene County to advance to the second round. The Tigers and Comets split the regular season games this year, with each team winning on their home field.

North Polk came out on top in the RRC posting a 24-6 overall record (13-3 RRC), while ADM is 16-14 overall (9-7 RRC). The winner will face off against either Boone or Algona for a chance to qualify for the state tournament. First pitch is now set for 3pm, with Raccoon Valley Radio carrying the broadcast on K107.9 KKRF, beginning at 2:45pm.
