Perry softball will look to continue their season tonight with a trip to Storm Lake. The Jayettes are fresh off a 6-0 win over Denison-Schleswig on Thursday. The Tornadoes are the 2 seed in the region and bring a record of 22-3 into tonight’s contest. Perry sits at 9-18.
Storm Lake ended the season of Perry last year. Perry will look for some revenge. They will also look for their second straight upset, 10th win of the season, and advancing to the Regional Championship.
The Tornadoes have been elite this season scoring over eight runs a game and only giving up two. They are led by sophomore pitcher, Avery DeHaan. The Jayettes will get a second crack at the sophomore. Perry managed 11 hits against her last year, but only scored two runs. Maci Tunink, fresh off a one hitter against Densison-Schleswig, will look to pitch the Jayettes to victory. She surrendered 9 hits and 5 runs to the Tornadoes last season.
KDLS will have coverage tonight between Perry and Storm Lake at 7P.
