Dallas Center – Grimes baseball begins postseason play tonight in Class 4A Substate 2 first round action when they take on Sioux City West. DCG comes in at 33-3 on the season, while Sioux City West is 5-33 on the year.

The Mustangs will be looking to get back to state and will have to win two games for the opportunity to go to Cedar Rapids. If they win tonight, DCG would then have a bye and then have a championship game in Dallas Center on Wednesday.

Mustang baseball will be looking to take care of business quickly, and have been doing that to opponents all season long, with DCG averaging 7.3 runs per game while giving up 2.5 runs per game. Sioux City West is averaging 2.3 runs per game while giving up 7.3 runs per game.
