The Fourth of July may have passed, but some may still be celebrating with fireworks.
Residents of the main towns in Guthrie County need to remember what their town’s ordinances are for fireworks. For Stuart, fireworks are allowed from June 1st to July 8th, and can only be lit on private property. Additionally, fireworks can only be shot off between the hours of 9am and 10pm, except for July 4th and the Saturdays and Sundays directly preceding and following the holiday, when they are allowed between 9am and 11pm for Stuart residents to remember. Guthrie Center and Panora both do not permit fireworks within city limits.
