Lake Panorama residents should be prepared for a fun show this Saturday.

The Schiering Family has been putting on the Fire in the Sky show for many years, and Stephanie Hafner says that this year they’re making the show more entertaining. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio what they decided to add, and why it was added.

“This year we wanted to do something special for my stepdad, Joe Schiering. It’s been 10 years since he passed away, and he was always really big on celebrating birthdays and anniversaries that ended in a zero and a five, and so I’ve wanted to coordinate the show to music for the last couple of years. And then this year, with the help of Raccoon Valley Radio, as well as J and M Displays, they have helped me put together a show that’s choreographed to music. And so we’re super excited to do that, to continue the Schiering legacy of putting on the Fire in the Sky show.”

Hafner mentions that this is a big step, and one they hope to continue into the future. Raccoon Valley Radio General Manager John McGee says that on Saturday at 9pm, KKRF K107.9FM will begin a special edition Patriotic Music Magazine. He adds that at 9:45 they will air a special interview with Hafner and her mother, Rita Schiering, and once the interview is finished a playlist of more patriotic music will begin, and last until 11pm. McGee mentions that those who are wanting to listen to the music should do so by radio instead of the online live stream, as the online version has a small delay that will cause it to be behind the fireworks.
