The City of Yale is preparing for their July 4th Celebration.

Festivities begin on Wednesday, with the Street Dance Rukkus and beer garden at Mickey’s on Main Street from 7-11pm, and a slow pitch softball tournament at the ball field. On Thursday, the softball tournament will continue, and beginning at 7:30am runners will be able to pick up packets for the 10th annual Three on the Fourth 5K fun run/walk and children’s one mile race. The races will begin at 8am, and from that time to 3:30pm raffle tickets will be on sale.

From 8-10am there will be an omelet breakfast at the community building, and starting at 8:30am there will be a just for fun pickleball tournament. There will be registration for the parade from 9-10:30am, with the Red, White and Blue Vendor and Farmers Market from 9:30am to 2pm at the lot by the four way stop, and the parade will begin at 11am. Once the parade ends, lunch will be served until 1:30pm at the community building, and at noon the horse show will begin in the horse arena, along with registration for the bathtub races.

Also beginning at noon and lasting until 3pm, the Show and Shine Car Show will be held on Main Street and at the fire hall there will be face painting, a balloon artist and a free movie. At 1pm the bathtub races will begin along with registration for the cornhole tournament, and the kids pedal pull will begin at 1:30pm. Both the cornhole tournament and kids pedal pull will start at 2pm, with a kids craft time and cookie decorating from 2:30-3:30pm.

From 5-9pm the Kenastons Family Band will perform, with a raffle and prize drawing from 8:30-9:15pm. To finish off the celebrations, there will be fireworks at dusk at the ballfield.
