The Perry Fine Arts is putting together an annual show in the afternoon of the 4th of July.
Chairperson of the Fine Arts Cathy Clarks states that the public is welcome to attend the 49th Annual Musical Extravaganza Variety Show at 2pm this coming Thursday. She details that the show will include several local performers as well as Perry High School students that will be playing on violins. Following the show, Clark entices people to stay for the ice cream social.
“It used to be homemade, but in this day and age I’m having trouble finding people that make homemade ice cream, so it’s just ice cream, but all kinds of cookies and goodies to go with them, so looking forward to doing that.”
The event is taking place at the Perry First United Methodist Church, 1100 3rd Street, in Perry. Clark adds that it will be wheelchair accessible, air conditioned, and there will be a free will offering available. More information can be found by calling the Perry Performing Arts Center at (515)-465-3503.
