The 4th of July holiday is under a week away, and several businesses in Adel will be closed.

According to Adel City Clerk Carrie Erickson, City Hall, the Adel Public Library, and the front office of the Adel Police Department will be closed on July 4th and 5th. Erickson describes that officers will still be on duty with the police department in case of emergencies. 

In addition, the Dallas County Courthouse and the Dallas County Iowa State University Extension & Outreach in Adel will be closed only on July 4th and will reopen on July 5th. For more information, contact Adel City Hall at (515)-993-4525.
