A 12-0 Heart of Iowa Activities Conference baseball victory for West Marshall in State Center vs. Greene County Thursday night in make up action lifted the Trojans to an undefeated conference season at 14-0. Overall, WM has won 24 straight games, is 33-1, and they are the top ranked team in Class 2A. The Rams fell to 1-17 and they finish 1-13 in the league for last place.
Greene County had no hits and just one base runner in the 4-1/2 innings contest, shortened via the 10-rule rule. Junior Crew Conner was hit by a pitch. The Rams had six errors and the Trojans had none with Ram pitchers walking six batters and WM walked none. Junior Camden Jacobs pitched the first 3-1/3 innings and he took the loss with junior Lane Fields throwing the final 2/3 of an inning. Half of the runs allowed were unearned.
