The West Central Valley School Board met in regular session June 19th.

The Board approved multiple handbooks for the 2024-25 school year, including for certified and classified employees, the middle school, elementary and preschool. They also approved using funds from the safety grant at Dexter Elementary and for lighting at the middle school in Redfield, along with the 2024-25 property casualty and worker’s compensation policy.

The Board then accepted bus bids, tabled a decision on the professional design and professional services agreement with SiteLogiQ until the July meeting, and entered into a closed session for the superintendent evaluation. They then reentered open session, and approved a two year contract with Superintendent Rusty Shockley.
