Dallas Center – Grimes baseball and softball both return to action tonight as they continue their fun June with a Little Hawkeye Conference matchup against the Indianola Indians. In softball DCG is 22-5 while Indianola is 12-15. For baseball, DCG is winner’s of eight-teen straight and at 27-1 while Indianola is a tough 19-9.

Both teams are coming off of tournaments over the weekend with softball going 3-1 and getting 3rd in the Linn-Marr tournament. Baseball played in the Prange Classic and was about to go 2-0 picking up wins over Sioux City East and North Scott.

DCG baseball is currently 1st in Little Hawkeye Conference standings with an undefeated conference record which includes eleven wins overall, while softball is 12-2 in conference play and currently half a game behind Norwalk.

Both teams will look to keep their stellar records going at Indianola High School with first pitch projected to be at 7:30 for both teams.
