The core beliefs for new Perry Football Coach, Josh Vannornam, are respect, belief, positivity, and professional relationships.  He plans to use these in his coaching. “We’re more than what we do and who we are.  So if we develop outside of football in terms of discipline and holding each other accountable. You know my core values are respect, belief, positivity, and professional relationships. Those things are huge to me as a person and it will be huge as a team, right.  So if we can develop our players, our staff in those ways I think that one will make football a lot more fun and enjoyable.  So in terms of developing that that’s what we have to do first.  I think it’s going to be my initial goal.”

The X’s and O’s will be similar to last year with him being hired so close to the season.  He understands he’s behind the eight ball.  “We’re going to do with what we have and the time we have.  We have to make the most of that each time; whether it’s going to be one day a week, twice a week, three times a week leading up to that scrimmage or game one.  So we have to be bought in as a staff, bought in as a team to be prepared, right.  So you can’t control what you can’t control.”

The first game is scheduled for August 29th at Des Moines Hoover.
