Perry Superintendent Clark Wicks expresses excitement with witnessing an increase in the contracts for the upcoming school year.

Wicks tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the packages for different departments are significantly higher for this year. He mentions that teachers and directors will have a 7.25 total percentage increase, support staff is at 7.63 percent, special services are 7.28 percent, and administrators will see a 7.23 percent increase. Wicks says the school will figure out how to make it work financially, but emphasizes that it’s the right thing to do.

“We got a lot of things sure’d up as far as the different levels. Overall, tremendous thank you to our staff for what they’ve done and I think it demonstrates how the board feels with the groups.”

Wicks adds that it’s wonderful to see these types of raises become incorporated into the schools and credits the staff for earning the increases, but also the board for making it work.
