A road trip to Nevada tonight to take on the Cubs awaits the Greene County High School baseball team. Coach Kyle Stalder’s Rams broke into the win column for the first time last week and will take a 1-11 overall record and 1-9 Heart of Iowa Activities Conference mark to Story County. The Cubs are 6-10 overall and 3-7 in league play, and they’ll be looking to sweep the two game season series with the Rams after winning 7-4 in Jefferson earlier this season.

The 12-4 victory vs. South Hamilton (Jewell) on June 10 is the only game the Rams have had a big offensive output. The team batting average sits at .196 going into this week and Greene County is averaging less than three runs per game. The Rams are hoping to break loose on offense tonight in Nevada.
