It’s Father’s day weekend and it’s a rare weekend off for Dallas Center – Grimes baseball and softball as they have been both very busy this last month, so the game break is a welcome one for both of these programs. The week of the 17th will be a busy one for both programs as both aim to keep the heavy winning ways going.

Baseball will have a varsity doubleheader on the road on the 17th when they take on the Pella Christian Eagles at 5:30 pm. The Mustangs will then take on the Dutch of Pella on the 19th with a home game that is slated to start at 7:30. They will host a varsity doubleheader against Norwalk at home starting 5:30 on Friday, and then Saturday will be hosting the Prange Classic and taking on schools Sioux City East and North Scott.

Softball will also start with varsity doubleheader on Monday at Pella Christian with a 5:30 start. They will host Pella on Wednesday with a 7:30 start as both teams have taken a game a piece in that series this year. On Thursday they will host Norwalk at home with a 5:30 start. They will then be making a trip out East to take on multiple schools in a softball tournament at Linn-Mar High School.

The softball game on Thursday and the baseball game on Friday will be on radio on the Raccoon Valley Radio Sports Network.
