A swimming agreement between two Dallas County school districts was pushed back after discussion at the Perry School Board meeting on Monday.
The board decided to table a high school girls’ swimming cooperative agreement between the Perry Community School District (PCSD) and the Panorama Community School District after extensive discussion. The item will be reviewed and discussed further at the next meeting scheduled for Monday, July 8th.
Items that were approved by the board include an agreement with 21st Century Rehabilitation for sports medicine services, an Iowa State University teaching agreement for the 2024-2025 school year, a tentative agreement with the Public Employment Relations and the PCSD, and a tentative agreement between the Perry Support Staff Association and the PCSD.
Additional items that were approved by the board include contracts for special services group increases, as well as director and administration group increases. Revisions of board policies were also approved as presented, as well as the district’s intent to participate in the SAI Mentoring and Induction program, the adoption of the Return-To-Play Protocol for concussions for sports, and the transfer from the general fund to the student activity fund for protective and safety equipment for 2023-2024 in the amount of $13,512.64.
