A retirement open house is taking place tomorrow for a Perry resident.
Dr. Dan Finn is a dentist with Summit Dentistry, formerly Finn Family Dentistry, and he is retiring. The public is invited to an open house tomorrow from 4-6pm at Summit Dentistry. Finn tells Raccoon Valley Radio that he moved to Perry in 1990 then shortly started his dental practice alongside Dr. Michael Brosnahan until 2005, when Brosnahan was tragically killed in a boating accident. He describes that the dentist office sold to Summit Dentist in Ankeny and prompted the organization to change its name from the Finn Family Dentistry.
Finn appreciates the staff that he’s worked with over the years and all their hard work, plus the relationships he’s built with his patients. Finn is looking forward to riding his bike, and seeing an Iowa sports phenom play next week.
“I haven’t had a chance to do much cycling over the years, especially since my grandkids got real busy with their ball games and stuff, but I’ll be able to do a lot more cycling on the Raccoon River (Valley) Trail and all over central Iowa. Actually next week, we’re heading out to Indianapolis and I’ll get to see Caitlin Clark (of the Indiana Fever) play.”
Finn adds that he’s excited to spend time with his family, plus dedicate time to finish projects around the house.
