Three athletes from Adel-DeSoto-Minburn were recently nominated for their contributions in their respective sports.

Sophomore Hayden Bailey, Junior London Warmuth, and Senior Easton Korell were all selected from the Iowa High School Sports Awards for the Athlete of the Year. Bailey is apart of the swim team that combines with the Waukee School District, Warmuth is with the ADM Track & Field team, and Korell played golf for the Tigers. Warmuth and Korell respective teams made history by becoming the first two in ADM’s tenure to win a state championship. The track & field team finished first at the state meet at Drake Stadium on May 18th while the Tigers Boys Golf team were named the Class 3A State Champs in Ames on May 21st. For Warmuth, she won an individual award of becoming a back-to-back state champion in the high jump.

Bailey and Warmuth attended the ceremony on Monday, as ADM announced that Korell was not able to be there.
