A local organization in the Perry community was officially welcomed with a ribbon cutting on Monday.

The Perry Chamber was at Birdies & Beers, located at the Perry Golf & Country Club, Monday afternoon. Perry Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti thanked everyone for coming out ahead of the ribbon cutting ceremony. Co-Owner Steve Wilkening, who is assisted by his son Zach, tells Raccoon Valley Radio that people can expect to have great food inside a great atmosphere at the organization. Wilkening mentions that he spear-headed the idea and convinced the rest of his family to join.

“It was my idea, I just had to convince them all to do it. So they all decided to help me out and we decided to become partners, and this is where we are.”

Wilkening illustrates that Birdies & Beers is open daily from 9am until they decide to close. He extends an invitation to anyone that would like to come out to the organization for a one-time trial to see if they would be interested in joining as a member. In addition, Birdies & Beers has an outdoor pool next to the golf course.
