The first event in an annual series for the City of Minburn is taking place tonight.

The annual Meet Me in Minburn event returns tonight, which will be the first of three shows that will be held this summer. According to Megan Cline, from the Minburn Community Betterment Group, the event has been going on since 2009 and has grown over the years to spotlight the small community. Cline adds that free skating will be available to everyone with the acceptance of roller blades, scooters or skateboards.

A community meal will be served from 5:30-7pm, then musical entertainment from Panora’s Kile Jackson, starting at 7pm. The festivities will be held at Meek Park, 318 Baker Street, in Minburn tonight, and is open to the public for free.
