The Greene County High School baseball and softball teams begin the second rotation of Heart of Iowa Activities Conference games tonight. The Rams will be hosting the Mustangs of PCM (Monroe) with the softball at the City Field on E. Lincolnway and baseball at Allensworth Field east of the middle school building. Fans are reminded alternate routes may be needed due to the downtown square area being blocked off with the Bell Tower Festival taking place.
Wins have been tough to come by for the Greene County teams. After a 2-1 softball start the Rams are 3-8 overall and 2-5 in the conference. Baseball led Perry 3-0 on Wednesday at Allensworth Field, but lost 4-3 in nine innings to fall to 0-9 on the season and 0-7 in conference play.
Tonight’s varsity baseball game will be broadcast on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com with first pitch set for around 7:30 p.m.
