A representative from Iowa State University Extension and Outreach of Dallas County shares details on the deadline for 4-H’ers ahead of fair season.

ISU Dallas County Youth Coordinator Annie Schlieman reminds 4-H’ers that entries for static and livestock need to be finalized by the deadline date of June 22nd. Schlieman underscores that there’s a bit of flexibility for the static deadline but not for livestock.

“Static there’s a little leeway, livestock there’s not any leeway. They won’t be able to show their livestock if they are not entered. For static, we have another week.”

Schlieman explains the reason the extension office is strict on deadlines is so the organization can give final numbers to the livestock superintendents in order for them to get the proper amount of materials needed.
